First Aid Guide
Emergency Care Before Your Visit
Don't panic. Follow the guide and
visit us as quickly as possible.
When a Tooth is Knocked Out
Find the tooth; do not touch the root part
Store the tooth in milk (saliva is also okay)
Do not rinse with water - risk of periodontal ligament damage
High chance of replantation if you visit within 30 minutes
When a Tooth is Broken
Collect and bring any broken tooth fragments
Gently rinse your mouth with lukewarm water
Apply a cold compress to reduce facial swelling
Take pain relievers if the pain is severe
Severe Toothache
Rinse your mouth with lukewarm salt water
Apply a cold compress for temporary pain relief
Take pain relievers like Tylenol
Never chew food with the painful tooth
Gum Bleeding
Apply firm pressure to the bleeding area with clean gauze
Maintain pressure for at least 15 minutes
Keep your head elevated above your heart
Visit immediately if bleeding persists over 30 minutes
The most important thing is a fast visit.
The first aid above is only a temporary measure. Since time is critical for dental trauma, it is most important to reach the dental hospital within 1 hour.
